Weekly Training Rundown Nov 12-18

56 miles total for me this week. Ran and finished my first ever ultra, and had a hell of a time in the process. Will write about it in the next week or so, but rest assured I did it. Now I feel like it almost killed me. You'll excuse me for being brief; I'm still exhausted. No pace data for runs this week -- ran without watch during the week, and then my old Garmin 205's battery died about 4 hours into the race on Saturday.

  • Tuesday: 4 miles. Felt good, stretched the legs out and didn't force it.
  • Friday: 2 miles. Good and calming.
  • Saturday: 50.4 miles in 11 hours 28 minutes and change. Had a really, really good time even though I was feeling pretty beat up after the first 15 miles. Knew at about 25 miles in that we'd be able to finish the race without having to drop out.

This week: nothing. Probably off for two weeks, at a minimum. I can't imagine doing anything physical; everything hurts.

How'd y'all do?
