Weekly Training Rundown April 16-22

Boston was last Monday, which means we all got a highly-distilled dose of inspiration. How long did that inspiration last for you?

Mayo: 3 miles. Weekend travel and early-week leg soreness didn't do me any favors.

  • Tuesday: 3 miles (7:42 pace). Felt really, really good in my new shoes. Wonderfully cool and breezy evening.

Next week: Done with travel and planned events for a few weeks, which means it's time to really buckle down and start running frequently again. I'm hoping for four runs this week, hopefully getting into the mid-teens in terms of mileage.

Hudson: Just one swim and one run this week. Whoops! I'll blame long days at work and then a Drinking Made Easy tour around DC on Saturday.

  • Monday: 1500-yard swim
  • Wednesday: 3.71-mile run (8:04 pace). A quick run around the neighborhood before heading into a day of meetings.
