In two posts on his blog, Alex Hutchinson takes a look at aerobic and resistance exercise and their effects on brain health (not to be confused with mental health). It seems as though getting the heart pumping does well for the brain, though resistance training and its complexities may benefit the brain more than aerobic exercise. There's still much more to learn, though.
