Meb Keflezighi and his wife, Yordanos Asgedom, joined 400 others guests for a state dinner at the White House on Tuesday night. The event was part of this week's meeting of American businesses and African leaders in Washington.
Keflezighi, who sat with Asgedom, the President and the First Lady, took to social media the day after to commemorate the event and share it with his followers.
What an honor to dine @WhiteHouse! A special honor to be seated with @BarackObama & @FLOTUS http://t.co/Qp4P1o384q pic.twitter.com/hqNHFWirdM

"It was a great honor," Keflezighi said on his Facebook page.
According to Runnersworld.com,
Like many Americans who don't normally follow running, Obama has taken interest in Keflezighi's Boston victory. He called Keflezighi one day after the race to congratulate him.
Currently, Keflezighi is preparing for the 2014 New York City Marathon on November 2.
