Kevin Dare Foundation 1,000 mile relay
Thought this might be of interest to everyone.
On August 26th 2012, Ten years after Kevin died tragically in a pole vaulting accident, ten runners will attempt to run a 1000 mile relay World Record to celebrate Kevin’s life. From the vaulting pit at The University of Minnesota where Kevin lost his life, the runners will pass through six states on their way to The Pennsylvania State University, where Kevin grew up, went to school, and died proudly competing for.
The current record is 99 hours, 3 minutes, 27 seconds. They are collecting donations for a worthy cause and I'll certainly be rooting for them.
