The 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon is this weekend in Houston. The race, which is the qualifying marathon for the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the chance for the top-three men and women finishers to punch their tickets to London, is put on by USA Track & Field, in conjunction with the Houston Marathon Committee. Obviously the 26.2 miles on Saturday (9 a.m. ET start time) are the highlight of the weekend, but there are plenty of activities and entertainment all weekend long to keep spectators entertained.
Trials Town -- "a three-day interactive fan festival in celebration of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon" -- opened Thursday night and will continue through race day. The event features the "Road to London Tour," an interactive fan experience, the Nike Zone (with giveaways!) and Tracktown USA.
