If you haven't heard of the World Marathon Majors, you're missing out.
The WMM features six of the biggest, baddest and most sought after marathons around the world and stretches over three continents in four different countries. If you're a marathoner who likes to travel to different races this should be your new goal.
Here are the races and their 2015 dates:
Tokyo, Japan - Sunday, February 22nd, 2015
Boston, MA, USA - Monday, April 20th, 2015
London, UK - Sunday, April 26th, 2015
Berlin, Germany - Sunday, September 27th, 2015
Chicago, IL, USA - Sunday, October 11th, 2015
New York, NY, USA - Sunday, November 1st, 2015
Each race has 30K+ participants and, combined, make up the ultimate marathoner goal.
The series' website, https://www.worldmarathonmajors.com/, has all the details about the majors as well as offers a six star finishers certificate to those who complete all six marathons.
Don't worry, though, you don't need to do them all in one year to get the certificate as a token of your accomplishments.
Most of the finishers have their race history spread over several years, which is understandable given the amount of travel and planning each race requires.
The site has 196 marathoners listed as completing the entire series - so if you take on this ultimate running task you know you're going to be in elite company around the world.
Why not take your running show on the road and take in some of the worlds greatest cities while you shoot to accomplish an amazing goal?
